Alix Valenti
Dr Alix Valenti is an international freelance defence journalist. Her main focus is on naval affairs, more specifically on identifying and discussing the latest technological trends in the naval industry and how those shape/are shaped by CONOPS.
Alix holds a PhD in post-conflict reconstruction. She also works with industry partners to deliver on-camera interviews with SMEs across a number of defence matters.

Andrew White
Andrew is a former editor of Digital Battlespace and Unmanned Vehicles magazines. Andrew joined Shephard Media from Jane’s, where he was land forces reporter for International Defence Review and Jane’s Defence Weekly.
Andrew has served with UK forces in three operational theatres: Afghanistan, the Balkans and Iraq. He still contributes to Shephard titles, including Land Warfare International, when he isn't teaching people how to remove vital organs with a dull spoon.

Arie Egozi
Born in Israel, Arie Egozi served in the IDF and holds a political science and journalism degree from Tel- Aviv University.
Arie has worked as an aerospace and defence correspondent for Israel's largest daily Yedioth Ahronot and foreign defence publications such as Flight International, Aviation Week and Breaking Defense.
He is also editor-in-chief of the Israel Homeland Security website (I-HLS).

Cem Devrim Yaylalı
Cem Devrim Yaylalı was born in Paris and raised in Istanbul, where he currently lives. He has a degree in economics, from the University of Istanbul. His interest in naval issues began by taking photos of warships visiting Istanbul when he was still in high school. His first photo was published in Jane’s Fighting Ships in 1991. Since then his photos and articles have been published in various naval publications both Turkish and foreign such as Türk Deniz Kuvvetleri Dergisi, Seaforth World Naval Review, Combat Fleets of the World, Warships IFR. He is married, with one son.

Charles was born in Malaysia, but educated in Taiwan. He is currently based in the capital Taipei. The focus of his photojournalism endeavours is primarily topics relating to maritime security, and to defence issues within the wider Asia-Pacific region.

Chen Chuanren
Chen Chuanren is Shephard’s Singapore correspondent, covering primarily land and sea systems. He served in the Republic of Singapore Air Force’s Air Defence and Operations Command for five years, before entering the defence journalism scene in 2013.
He continues writing for a few defence publications and, when not building models as a hobby, he is often seen in exhibitions, conferences and military exercises.

Christopher F Foss
Christopher F Foss is an internationally recognised authority on armoured fighting vehicles, artillery and other weapon systems, having written and edited more than 100 books on this and allied subjects since 1970.
Until mid-2017, Chris was editor of Jane’s Armoured Fighting Vehicles, Jane's AFV System Upgrades and co-editor of Jane’s Artillery and Air Defence and Jane's Military Vehicles and Logistics.
He has also contributed articles on a wide range of land-based weapon systems to numerous defence magazines all over the world.
Chris launched Jane’s Defence Review which also included a section on Soviet Intelligence which was spun off to for Jane's Intelligence Review. Until late 2021 was Consulting Editor for Jane’s Defence Weekly and Jane's International Defence Review.
Chris has lectured on armoured vehicles and other weapon systems in a number of countries, chaired more than 50 conferences and driven about 60 tracked and wheeled armoured vehicles.

Damian Kemp
Damian Kemp has worked in the defence media for 25 years covering military aircraft, defence business and the unmanned vehicles sector.
A native of Melbourne Australia, he graduated from RMIT Melbourne with a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism). He began working at Jane's Information Group in 1996 variously as journalist, business editor and aviation editor at the company.
Damian previously worked as a Dataset Editor at Shephard Media, covering C4I, EW, Maritime Security, Radar Systems and Commercial Unmanned Systems and is now a staff reporter with Shephard Media.

David Isby is a Washington-based attorney and consultant on national security issues. He has experience as a Congressional staffer, policy analyst and editor and has worked in the Pentagon and in the Federal Aviation Administration.
David received two Charles Roberts Awards for achievement in simulation design, and he has written and edited 27 books, including four on Afghanistan.

Flavia Camargos Pereira
Flavia Camargos Pereira is a North America editor at Shephard Media. She joined the company in 2020, after obtaining a masters degree in International Journalism at Brunel University London.
Prior to her masters degree, she earned a bachelors degree in Media Studies from Federal University of Juiz de Fora (Brazil). She is a former member of the Brazilian armed forces, where she spent around 10 years in service.
She is based in Kansas City, Missouri.
