US DoD evaluates DroneShield products
DroneShield’s DroneSentry and DroneGun Tactical products have been evaluated by the US Department of Defense Asymmetric Warfare Group, the company announced on 10 December.
The evaluation was carried out during an event organised by the Army Night Vision Electronic Sensors Directorate Unique Mission Cell.
DroneShield’s deployment at the event included participation in seven experimental scenarios. The demonstration included the detection and tracking of multiple UAS via the combined radiofrequency and radar detection capability of the DroneSentry platform, and provision of real-time battlefield intelligence of mock-threat drones to fielded experimental participants through Tactical Assault Kit/Android Tactical Assault Kit software integration.
The company also enabled Blue Force command to negate mock-threat UAS through the use of DroneGun Tactical and DroneCannon systems.
