Gray Eagle deploys to Korea

The US is increasing its unmanned systems capability on the Korean Peninsula providing more surveillance and strike assets.

It is sending a UAV company to South Korea to try and stabilise the region and manage a bellicose North Korea.

The US Army will deploy the MQ-1C Gray Eagle MALE UAV, a product from General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc (GA-ASI). While the deployment's timeline has not been revealed yet, the company is not expected to be fully operational until early 2018.
