US Army's counter-UAS timelines 'inadequate', says report

A report exploring the possible threats posed by small UAS (sUAS) to the US military and how battalion and smaller formations can effectively counter has said that the US Army’s timeframes in determining solutions are inadequate.

Details revealed in an abbreviated, restricted version of the classified report, drawn up by a select committee made up of academia, defence experts and others, stated in a preproduction draft version that the army’s force capability timeframe ‘is too drawn out to address the rapid advancement in sUAS performance capabilities and anticipated threat uses’.
