UK, France conduct trials with counter-UAV system

Three British technology companies say they have produced the first integrated counter-UAV defence system, having recently conducted trials with both the UK and French Ministry of Defence.

Designated the Anti-UAV Defence System (AUDS), it integrates the Blighter a400 Series Ku band electronic scanning air security radar; Chess Dynamics’ stabilised electro-optic director, infrared and daylight cameras and target tracking software; and a directional radio frequency jammer system from Enterprise Control Systems to detect, track, and disrupt UAVs at ranges of up 8km.
