UK-based SME Meta Mission Data (MMD) and its subcontractor Eagle Eye Innovations (EEI) are to provide simulator instructional support to frontline RAF MQ-9 Reaper crews in a three-year contract.
The two companies will provide MQ-9 instructors, scenario development and White Force support using the MALET-JSIL Aircrew Trainer (MJAT) simulator that is embedded within XIII Squadron at RAF Waddington.
The contract will see the immediate expansion of MJAT training, providing greater immersion for all Reaper crew positions and ‘delivering support at a tempo and scale to match front-line requirements,’ MMD announced on 6 May.
Both MMD and EEI have been delivering MJAT services at RAF Waddington for the past 15 months; the award of this contract — after a competitive tender — has allowed training support to continue without a break.
