UDT 2016: Industry ready to showcase at Unmanned Warrior

As industry prepares for the upcoming Unmanned Warrior exercises off the UK coast in October, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) awarded Qinetiq a £1 million contract to demonstrate the integration of unmanned systems into Royal Navy (RN) operations.

 

In a release issued on 6 May, Qinetiq stated that under the contract with the mine countermeasures and hydrographic capability (MHC) team in the MOD, the company will provide a demonstration system to explore the integration of unmanned surface and underwater vehicles into Royal Navy operations.

 

The system will include displays, software and computing infrastructure, be fully transportable and capable
