UAV Propulsion Tech collaborates with MicroPilot
UAV Propulsion Tech announced on 19 January that it has signed a representative agreement with MicroPilot that will see MicroPilot market UAV Propulsion Tech’s family of autopilots in the US UAV market.
MicroPilot provides a range of lightweight autopilots for fixed-wing, transitional, helicopter, and multi-rotor UAVs. Solutions offered include board mount, enclosed and triple redundant autopilots; HORIZON Ground Control Software; True Hardware-in-the-Loop (trueHWIL) simulators; and XTENDER autopilot customisation software.
Howard Loewen, founder and president, MicroPilot, said: ‘Our MP21283X triple redundant autopilot will allow defence and commercial UAV customers to protect their high value air vehicle/payload assets by improving autopilot reliability which will become more important as the US FAA develops regulations for the commercial market.’
Bob Schmidt, founder and president, UAV Propulsion Tech, added: ‘The addition of MicroPilot's autopilot product line, particularly the triple redundant autopilot solution will expand our US UAV product offerings, allowing us to provide solutions that will improve the performance, functionality and reliability of UAVs.'
