Airbus eyes growing UAV market

As the UAV industry continues its apparent exponential growth and new applications appear in the commercial sector, Airbus Defence & Space will look to explore how the company can harness opportunities in the market, according to officials.

Jean Pierre Talamoni, head of sales and marketing, confirmed during a trade media briefing on 20 June that the UAV market will see the biggest growth for the company over the next decade.

Talamoni did not confirm whether this would include commercial sales of unmanned systems, although separately Jana Rosenmann, head of unmanned aerial systems, did state that the company was looking at
