Taiwan unveils Reaper lookalike

The National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology (NCSIST) unveiled a Reaper lookalike MALE UAV on the opening day of the Taipei Aerospace & Defence Technology Exhibition (TADTE), a biennial event held this year from 13-16 August.

Ma Wan-June, director of NCSIST’s aeronautical systems research division, told Shephard that the project to develop the craft commenced ‘several years ago’ and it would be completed ‘several years later’. However, the appearance of the craft at TADTE signals that development is proceeding well.
