South Korea confirmed to be flying MALE UAV platform

A new image of a South Korean MALE UAV in flight has recently surfaced. Significantly, the light-coloured aircraft was adorned in Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) livery.

The image, possibly taken near Seongnam Air Base in southern Seoul, bore the serial number ‘001’ and was published on social media by the aviation enthusiasts’ Scramble Facebook News on 19 March. 

This particular strategic-level aircraft is labelled by the Aerospace Business Division of Korean Air as the KUS-FS, but the ROKAF’s designation is not yet known. Korean Air specifies ISR, communication relay, electronic warfare and signals intelligence among its mission
