AUSA 2024: Quantum-Systems targets big 2025 with UAS developments
Quantum-Systems has been upgrading its UAS family, with new versions of the Vector, Reliant and Twister drones set for release throughout 2025.
Israeli aerostat manufacturer, RT LTA, have signed a contract for the sale of three Skystar 180 systems to Santiago de Chile municipal police, the first major deal for the firm in South America.
The SkyStar 180 mobile aerostat is designed for tactical mid-range surveillance police and military applications. Launched from a towable trailer the aerostat is fitted with a stabilized day/night EO payload suspended from a helium filled balloon which is tethered to the trailer.
When deployed, the aerostat can operate in wind velocities of up to 40 kt and lift a payload of 20kg. The payload can provide surveillance
