Singapore Airshow: UMS Skeldar target military, commercial growth

The established unmanned military market and future commercial fee-for-service industry are key business areas for the newly formed UMS Skeldar, a joint venture between UMS Aeros of Switzerland and Sweden’s Saab, according to business development director David Willems.

The collaboration with Saab, said Willems, would enable UMS Skeldar to harness its network and provide an effective ‘on-stop-solution’ to customers. Although the majority of the unmanned market was in the military sectors, particularly maritime applications, commercial use was expected to double in the next ten years he advised.
