Singapore Airshow: IAI showcases loitering munitions
The Rotem L UAS is undergoing final testing ahead of offers to customers, as IAI continues to develop its range of loitering munitions.
The system, based on a light multi-rotor platform, is described by the manufacturer as being capable of autonomous flight, acquiring and engaging targets with man-in-the-loop on stationary and manoeuvring targets.
As a backpack portable system, weighing around 5kg in total, the Rotem has been designed to be used as the squad level.
