Singapore Airshow 2018: Wing Loong wings into Southeast Asia
The Wing Loong UCAV from China made its Southeast Asian debut at Singapore Airshow 2018, with mock-ups of both an armed Wing Loong I and the larger and newer Wing Loong II on static display.
Two years ago Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) played hide and seek with a scale model of the Wing Loong II, putting it on display and then hiding it and denying it had ever been present. This time the full-scale UCAVs were on exhibit with a range of smart munitions and air-to-ground missiles arrayed alongside.
