Singapore Airshow 2018: DroNet looks into the future

ST Aerospace showed progress with its DroNet – an integrated system comprising UASs, landing ports (DroPort), a control hub (DroHub) and digital platform – at Singapore Airshow 2018.

The idea is to create a zone in an urban area where UAVs can operate autonomously, perhaps for public security, deliveries (e.g. carrying an automated external defibrillator) or infrastructure inspection.

UAVs would thus be able to take-off, fly and perform their tasks, return to base and swap batteries ready for their next mission.
