Singapore Airshow 2018: Chinese Star Shadow on the prowl
A new Chinese-built high-altitude UCAV was unveiled at this year’s Singapore Airshow. The Chengdu-based Star UAV System Company displayed a scale model of its new stealth Star Shadow UCAV along with a model of their new AT200 cargo UAV.
Both aircraft were displayed at the 2016 Zhuhai Airshow, but little was known about them at that time.
The Star Shadow is in the development stage and the AT200 is in the pre-production stage, said a company spokesperson. The Star Shadow will make its maiden flight in 2019.
The Star Shadow has a ‘flying wing’ configuration and will be powered
