SeeByte enhances ROV CoPilot software capabilities
SeeByte has launched a new Multibeam Imaging Sonar Mosaic Tool for use with the company’s SeeTrack CoPilot software. The tool can be used to quickly generate maps of the environment and improve remotely operated vehicle (ROV) pilots’ situational awareness.
The SeeTrack CoPilot system is plug-and play software that is designed to make piloting ROVs simpler. It permits pilot controlled auto-transit and stop-and-hover, whilst providing automated sonar tracking and movement relative to a target.
The newly released tool will add new capabilities to CoPilot, enabling operators to generate a multi-beam imaging sonar forward-look mosaic using a simple on/off button in the CoPilot interface, enabling them to paint a map of their environment and use that map to navigate more effectively.
SeeByte expects the new Multibeam Imaging Sonar Mosaic Tool to simplify operations for ROVs engaged in operations such as subsea riser inspection, drill support and construction.
