ScanEagle approaches FOC in Singapore

This year’s Combat Afloat Readiness And Training (CARAT) exercise between Singapore and the US is featuring the Boeing Insitu ScanEagle UAV.

The UAV is being flown from the missile corvettes RSS Vigour and RSS Valiant as the ScanEagle inches closer to full operational capability (FOC). 

Vigour is leading the ScanEagle UAV development in the squadron,’ said Lt Col Wong Chng Tong, RSS Vigour’s commanding officer. ‘We learned from CARAT 15 that the UAV can be an asset in this region and is a force multiplier for any units with it.’
