Russia takes the first production-standard Uran-6 UGVs

The Russian Land Force’s Engineer Troops branch has taken on strength the first production-standard Uran-6 UVS for mine clearance, including usage in urban conditions.

According to the Russian MoD, the Uran-6 has undergone rigorous testing in real-world operational conditions, including in the troubled North Caucasus region of Russia while a prototype also saw a successful combat deployment in war-torn Syria.

The production-standard Uran-6 differs from the prototypes, as they incorporate a set of design changes implemented after completion of the testing deployment in Syria. In addition, the use of imported parts has been considerably reduced in accordance with the Russian
