Sberbank, a large Russian Bank, is set to be the launch customer for Russian Helicopters’ new VRT300 VTOL UAV.

The bank intends to use the machine for cash and other valuable transportation in its newly-developed robotised air transport system.

Speaking to Shephard, Andrey Boginsky, director general at Russian Helicopters, said that Sberbank will receive a dedicated VTR300 version equipped with a special container under the fuselage for transporting cash and other lightweight cargo.

A VRT300 model in the colours of Sberbank and featuring the newly-designed cargo container was displayed at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum on 29 May.
