Roboteam receives MTGR orders
Roboteam has received two orders for the Micro Tactical Ground Robot (MTGR) in support of US and international military missions, the company announced on 29 August.
The company will deliver 75 units total under the orders by the end of 2017.
The all-terrain MTGR is designed to conduct explosive ordnance disposal as well as chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear material and HAZMAT missions.
The modular third-generation MTGR is lightweight and features advanced vision and stair-climbing capabilities to perform surveillance missions while its handlers remain at a safe distance. A single user can operate multiple MTGR platforms simultaneously in complete darkness and difficult terrain.
Shahar Abuhazira, CEO at Roboteam, said: ‘Our MTGR is used by specialised units as well as first responders who are the 'tip of the spear' in critical life-saving missions. Roboteam engineers have a direct line of communication with end users allowing us to quickly adapt production and provide the technology to meet their immediate needs.
‘We are proud to provide agencies across the globe with our advanced MTGR platform and will continue to innovate in order to support them.’
