D&S 2015: The rise of Falcon-V

The VTOL-capable Falcon-V UAV completed a demonstration flight in October for Thailand’s Royal Irrigation Department for use in an aerial mapping capacity, following on from its maiden flight which took place one month earlier.

Manufactuered by Thai OEM Top Engineering Group the hybrid UAV is fitted with a conventional push propeller at the rear of the fuselage and features a boom on either wing, each mounting two rotor blades that give the aircraft a vertical take-off and landing capability.
