RIBs confirmed at Unmanned Warrior

BAE Systems and ASV unmanned marine systems will showcase two unmanned RIBs at the UK MoD’s Unmanned Warrior event off the West of Scotland this autumn.

BAE and ASV are working on fielding unmanned versions of the Pacific 950 and 24ft boats under a privately funded venture that is looking to develop unmanned boats for surveillance, force protection and anti-submarine warfare. Although BAE is currently building 60 Pacific 24 Mk IV RIBs for the Royal Navy (RN), the demonstrator craft are being developed from existing company-owned craft.
