AUSA 2024: Quantum-Systems targets big 2025 with UAS developments
Quantum-Systems has been upgrading its UAS family, with new versions of the Vector, Reliant and Twister drones set for release throughout 2025.
Qinetiq is looking to expand the use of UAVs across the UK following a successful proof of concept of its unmanned services in Snowdonia, Wales.
The company recently conducted two demonstration flights of a C-Astral UAV across two scenarios, including the use of UAVs in fisheries protection and in managing the threat to the Welsh coast from flooding and coastal erosion.
‘One of the motivations for the recent demonstration was to showcase that capability but also to start showing unmanned systems are not just about military capability,' explained Jeremy Howitt, Unmanned Services Campaign Manager at Qinetiq.
