Russia accepts Orion MALE UAV

The Russian MoD has completed the acceptance process for the Orion MALE UAV, according to Nikolay Dolzhenkov, chief designer at St Petersburg-based manufacturer Kronstadt Group.

He added that the Russian military is now set to conduct experimental operations with Orion, which is the first MALE-class UAV to be 100% designed and made in the country. Improvements will be made to the aircraft, in order to satisfy new and undisclosed requirements raised by the end user.
