Pakistan is confirmed as CH-4 UAV importer

Pakistan has been evaluating Chinese-built UAVs, and rumours have swirled about bulk purchases, but its first acquisition has been confirmed.

The Pakistan Army has been confirmed as the latest operator of the Chinese-built CH-4 MALE UAV, with five of the aircraft delivered to the country on 15 January.

This open-source information was revealed on the Pakistan Exim Trade Info website. Chinese company Aerospace Long-March International Trade Company Limited was named as the supplier. A total of 21 pieces of cargo were unloaded, with the Headquarters Civil Works Organisation company listed as the importer.

The CH-4 is built by the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC). Two variants are marketed: the CH-4A performs reconnaissance missions with a 30h endurance, while the CH-4B
