Belgian-Dutch minehunter programme to use V-200
The V-200 UAV from UMS Skeldar will be used in the Belgian-Dutch minehunter programme under a deal announced on 8 July.
UMS Skeldar was awarded a procurement contract by ECA Group to supply the V-200s, which will be used in UAV system ‘toolboxes’ on board 12 new-generation minehunters (six apiece for Belgian and Dutch navies).
The minehunters are being supplied by the Belgium Naval & Robotics JV between Naval Group and ECA Group. Serial deliveries of the V-200 for the ECA Group contract are expected to begin in 2023, the companies said.
