AUSA 2024: Quantum-Systems targets big 2025 with UAS developments
Quantum-Systems has been upgrading its UAS family, with new versions of the Vector, Reliant and Twister drones set for release throughout 2025.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) moved towards becoming a major UAS user in the country when it logged an order for approximately 700 units, as announced on 18 October.
A PHP56 million ($1.06 million) contract was signed with a JV comprising Xitrix Computer Corporation and Mars Armor. This entity will deliver DJI commercial-specification UAS of unspecified type but which are believed to be smaller than the Phantom 4.
Delivery to the PNP will occur before the end of Q1 in 2019, and they will be distributed nationwide, especially to elite units like the Special Action Force.
