Patroller to replace French Army Sperwer

The Patroller UAV has finally been confirmed as the replacement for the Sperwer UAS currently deployed with the French Army’s 61st Artillery Regiment from 2018.

According to a release issued by Safran, of which Sagem is prime contractor, on 5 April French Minister of Defence Jean-Yves Le Drian witnessed the official announcement of the French army's new ‘tactical drone system’ (SDT) programme contract during a visit to the Sagem (Safran) plant in Montluçon.
