Paris Air Show: Tekever lifts lid off new UAV (video)
Having its big unveil at this year’s Paris Air Show is Tekever’s new AR3 Net Ray unmanned aerial vehicle, which is designed for near shore and maritime missions.
The company’s COO Ricardo Mendes told Shephard that the UAV is designed to fly for at least ten hours, depending on the payload it carries.
‘It’s fully prepared for different types of missions,’ Mendes explained, adding that this included nature protection missions, fire prevention and maritime surveillance.
Tekever’s AR3 Net Ray is currently being trialled in a mission called Frontex with the Portuguese Navy. Frontex supports effective border control in the Mediterranean
