Paris Air Show: Orbiter 1K loitering UAV unveiled
Israel-based defence company Aeronautics Ltd will use the Paris Air Show to publicly unveil the new Orbiter 1K UAV.
Launched from a catapult, the Orbiter 1K can fly for between two to three hours, carrying a multi-sensor camera with day-and-night channels, and is the first loitering UAV produced by the company – although it shares the same structure as the Orbiter 2.
Given a specific waypoint, the Orbiter 1K can detect and destroy a moving or a stationary target, according to an official company statement. The system can also be tasked to operate within a given area range, where it
