Pakistan demonstrates first ‘indigenous’ UCAS capability

The Pakistan Army declared in MArch that it had successfully conducted its first missile firing from an indigenous UCAS, a Burraq platform built by the National Engineering and Scientific Commission (NESCOM).

In a demonstration watched by VIPs, the UCAS launched a Barq laser-guided missile. Maj Gen Asim Bajwa, director general of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) agency, tweeted that the missile fired against both static and moving targets did so with ‘impressive pinpoint accuracy’. Analysis of released video footage suggests at least three firings have taken place to date.
