AUSA 2024: Quantum-Systems targets big 2025 with UAS developments
Quantum-Systems has been upgrading its UAS family, with new versions of the Vector, Reliant and Twister drones set for release throughout 2025.
US based oilfield and subsea manufacturer Forum Energy Technologies has unveiled its new electric remotely operated vehicle (EROV) XLe Spirit at Oceanology International.
Designed primarily for subsea maintenance and repair work, the vehicle – the first of a new EROV range - is depth rated at 1,000m and can be fitted with an optional electric or hydraulic manipulator arm.
Owing to self-regulating power features the company say the vehicle ‘compensates for tether losses’ to ensure power delivery is constant and stabilised ‘regardless of tether length.’
Discussing the design of the vehicle, a company spokesperson told Shephard that the concept was driven by market
