MuMNS development continues

Saab is looking to begin a build programme for its Multimine Neutralisation System (MuMNS) AUV, possibly as soon as Q3 this year, as the company continues its programme of work with customers such as the UK and France.

The AUV carries a three-shot reloadable mine neutralisation system that allows operators to search and clear waterways at greater speed than before, according to Saab. Some of the typical roles that it will fulfil include mine clearance, historical ordinance disposal, mine investigation and underwater demolitions.
