MSPO 2019: Russia drives Korsar UAV tests forward
The Russian military Korsar tactical UAV has commenced flight testing, which is expected to run until the end of 2019.
Following completion, first deliveries of the system to the Russian Land Forces are due to take place.
Yury Borisov, the Russian deputy prime minister, responsible for supervising the country’s defence industry, told the press that the Korsar is set for serial purchases for the Russian military.
The Korsar has been developed by the Rybinsk-based KB Luch design bureau, a subsidiary of the Russian Electronics holding company, controlled by the Rostec state-owned industrial conglomerate.
