Unmanned Systems Technology (UST), a subsidiary of Composites Technology Research Malaysia (CTRM), continues to develop two UAVs, the Aludra Mk5 and SR-10.

Mohd Yahaya Rosdi, CEO of UST, discussed recent developments with Shephard in the run up to LIMA 2015. ‘We are currently developing the new, upgraded version of Aludra, called Aludra Mk5, to cater for our own Ministry of Defence operational requirements.’ An earlier version of the Aludra has been used in the Sabah region of East Malaysia for counterinsurgency operations. The Aludra Mk1 has a 100km range and 4.5h endurance, while its maximum take-off weight is 200kg.
