Leica partners with DJI on new drone solution

Leica Geosystems, headquartered in Switzerland, is showcasing a prototype of its newest UAS solution for the first time at the Commercial UAV Expo in Amsterdam.

The system will be ready for market in the second half of 2018 following a 12 month partnership with DJI for the development of the product.

The new drone will be known as the Leica Aibot 6 as a nod to the parent company’s acquisition of UAV manufacturer Aibotix in 2014.
