Land Forces 2016: DOK-ING ready to fight fires

Making an inaugural appearance at Land Forces 2016 was DOK-ING from Croatia, with its primary platform being the MVF-5 unmanned fire-fighting support vehicle that it recently made available to Australia. 

DOK-ING previously supplied eight MV-10 robotic demining vehicles to Australia in 2008, these being acquired under the Land 144 programme. They were used for demining in Iraq and Afghanistan. 

DOK-ING believes the MVF-5 is also ideal for Australia, which every year suffers from rampant bushfires. For example, the 2009 summer was particularly devastating when 173 people died and 2,000 homes were destroyed in Victoria.
