ADEX 2015: Korean KUS-FT enters service in 2016

The aerospace business division of Korean Air has showcased a complete KUS-FT tactical UAV system, which is expected to enter service with the Korean Army in 2016.

Displayed at the Seoul International Aerospace and Defence Exhibition (ADEX) from 20-25 October, one complete KUS-FT (FT6 represents fixed-wing tactical) system comprises four UAVs, a ground control system, ground support system and catapult launch/recovery set.

Altogether, the system fits into four 6x6 and one 4x4 tactical vehicles. In military service, the concept of operations is for one company to operate two systems.
