AUSA 2024: Quantum-Systems targets big 2025 with UAS developments
Quantum-Systems has been upgrading its UAS family, with new versions of the Vector, Reliant and Twister drones set for release throughout 2025.
The UK mobile satellite provider Inmarsat is seeking to increase its civil UAV sector footprint having established a set of five new partnerships with drone operators to support BVLOS operations.
Each of the collaborations use the Cobham manufactured aviator UAV 200 SATCOM terminal, with Inmarsat acting as a partner of the solution and operators benefiting from an ability of the system to send data at 200kb/s.
The five recent partnerships initially started in February comprise of operators: Silent Falcon, Robot Aviation, Flylogix, A-techSYN and Alpha Unmanned Systems.
The partners' missions for each relate to wildfire aerial mapping, SAR, offshore inspections,
