Information hub draws interest

Minnesota-based company CAD Drones is looking to expand the network of contributors to its open-source information hub, a site where amateurs can share ideas and design tips from the unmanned vehicles industry.

Launched last year the site has so far proved popular among hobbyists and educational institutions, said CEO and founder Joshua Johnson, whose interests in CAD, UAVs and 3D printers drove him to begin the project.
