Industry stands by for next ASTRAEA phase

Industry bids are being prepared for the next phase of a UK effort to ease the validation and certification of UAS in national airspace, an industry expert has revealed.

The industry members of the Autonomous Systems Technology Related Airborne Evaluation & Assessment (ASTRAEA) consortium are currently costing proposals to achieve in the 3B stage of the effort, and a proposal is expected to be ready within months, Gary Clayton, UK R&T lead for Airbus Defence and Space, told Shephard
