Indian police announces UAV requirements
Addressing border incursions in northern India and an ongoing conflict with home-grown Naxal insurgents in eastern and central areas, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), a department of the Ministry of Home Affairs, simultaneously issued an expression of interest and RfPs for 150 mini-UAVs and 300 micro-UAVs on an urgent basis.
The last day of acceptance for bids covering 25 micro-UAVs is 25 October, this RfP asking for an endurance of 40 minutes and a 4km range.
However, the CRPF also issued an EoI for 275 micro- UAVs with a 60-minute endurance, 5km line of sight and a thermal camera
