IDEX 2021: Israeli rotary-wing manufacturer expands capabilities
Steadicopter, exhibiting at IDEX for the first time, highlighted cooperation agreements with fellow Israeli companies such as UAV simulation specialist Simlat and UAV control technology developer Simplex.
By integrating the FlightOps.io Drone OS operating system from Simplex, for instance, Steadicopter believes that the autonomous operational capabilities of its Black Eagle family of rotary-wing VTOL UAVs will be improved, enabling missions in shared airspace.
This will significantly increase ‘mission capabilities, efficiency and safety of flight’, Steadicopter noted in a 22 February announcement.
Noam Lidor, Steadicopter sales and marketing director, said: ‘The Black Eagle family now has open architecture that enables much-needed integration, in accordance with user requirements.’
Steadicopter manufactures the Black Eagle 25E and Black Eagle 50E. They are adapted for a range of missions including covert operations, maritime applications and homeland security.
