IDEF 2019: Asis showcases new spy and weaponised drones

Turkish company Asis is expanding its portfolio of technologies revealing new weaponised and micro spy drones as well as disclosing acquisition of Bosnia and Herzegovinian-based cyber security company, Zemana, at IDEF 2019.

The Songar armed drone system is Turkey’s first automatic shooting stabilised armed drone, developed in response to a Turkish government requirement, Kadir Kuğu, head of product management at Asis told Shephard.

It has been developed by Asisguard, the defence arm of Asis group, and Kuğu added that the company is already in talks with the Turkish defence procurement agency SSB.
