Hell Bay 4 third phase awarded

Qinetiq has been selected to provide the UK component of a multinational demonstration of unmanned vehicles under a contract with the UK's Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl).

Announcing the contract on 17 August, the company said that the demonstration, which has been dubbed Hell Bay 4, will see surface, sub-surface and air systems working cooperatively on a range of autonomous MCM missions.

QinetiQ will lead a team that includes Seebyte, Blue Bear Systems Research and ASV in the exercise, which involves participants from the US, Canada and Australia. Hell Bay 4 will be conducted as a part of the
