Harfang UAV marks a year in Afghanistan
The French Air Force Harfang UAV detachment at Bagram, celebrates its first birthday in February on Afghan soil.
During its first year of operations The Harfang unit has made 185 flights, including 166 operational missions, built up nearly 1,700 flight hours and produced over 1,200 hours of broadcast video in real time.
The Harfang has been involved in missions by day and by night, monitoring villages, escorting convoys, looking for improvised explosive devices and providing intelligence support to troops in contact.
The Harfang UAVs serve with the EED 1/330 Squadron.
