AUSA 2024: Quantum-Systems targets big 2025 with UAS developments
Quantum-Systems has been upgrading its UAS family, with new versions of the Vector, Reliant and Twister drones set for release throughout 2025.
Ewatt Aerospace provided a preview of its EWZ-242 quadcopter UAS at the Commercial UAV Expo in Amsterdam ahead of the system's official launch at Farnborough International Airshow in July this year.
The company was able to share some details about the UAS including its variable pitch system, a gas-powered two-stroke engine and a two hour flight time with a 5kg payload. Its maximum payload capacity is 20kg.
Speaking to Shephard Victor Paciura, overseas sales director, explained the company’s ambitions to develop heavy duty industrial drones because, as he sees it, the likes of DJI have monopolies on the smaller drones.
