GA-ASI selected for Netherlands UAS
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems has announced its selection to provide its UAS to the Royal Netherlands Air Force, following consideration by the Ministry of Defence.
The company said it will deliver the Predator B/MQ-9 Reaper medium altitude, long-endurance UAS to the Dutch military.
Predator B is a multi-mission UAS with up to 26 hours of flight endurance and is equipped with HD-video sensors (optical and IR), ground-imaging/MTI/maritime radar and other surveillance sensors. The aircraft has payload capacity of 386kg internally, 1361kg externally and can fly up to 45,000ft.
